4 new calls for projects

Four new project calls were launched in May.

Be Digital

Be Digital is a new project call aiming at providing answers to the challenges involved in the digital switchover, as well as developing digital entrepreneurship in the Brussels Region.

These challenges include:

  • the awareness of young people for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM).
  • the development of digital tools related to the challenges of the digital transformation of cultural and creative industries, the aging of the population, the upgrading of the STEAM professions and sales opportunities.

What can you get? Financial support from the Region, assistance from all services offering support to companies (on request), and the success of your project.

The project carriers can submit their project until 13th July 2018.

Social Economy

The project call "Brussels innovative social enterprises and collaborative platforms" is intended for all enterprises, self-employed and non-profit organisations developing social economy activities in the Brussels-Capital Region and that meet one of the five following project types:

  • Starters: innovative projects
  • Scaling up: upscaling
  • Combining strengths between companies
  • Formalisation of informal economy
  • Collaborative platforms

What can you get? You can receive a specific financial support of up to 80,000 €.

Brussels Small Business Act

The call is intended for all economic operators (company, association without profit, independents, etc.) established in the Brussels Region that propose a project that relates to measures from the Small Business Act in connection with the following 5 challenges:
  • Raising awareness for the transfer or takeover of companies
  • Entrepreneur co-operatives and shared enterprises
  • Guidance and support for social entrepreneurship
  • Active prevention of companies in difficulty
  • Information and support for entrepreneurs with a diverse background

The 4 selection criteria for assessment are: the quality and relevance of the project, the expertise and experience of the project carrier, the scope, the expected results and the costs of the project. You can receive financial support and the success of your project will be put in the spotlight. This call for projects ends on 6 July 2018.

Diversity and anti-discrimination

This call for projects aims at actions that combat discrimination in employment and /or support diversity in the Brussels-Capital Region. It is addressed to all private associations and local authorities that want to develop projects in this sense. The reward is a financial support of at least € 5000 for your project. The competition jury will draw up a ranking of the projects that best meet the following 6 criteria: the agreement with the regional objectives regarding diversity, the technical-budgetary credibility of the project, its innovative character, the impact on the employment of the target groups in the Brussels Region, combating multiple and overlapping forms of discrimination, and the quality of possible partnerships.
