Director or executive employed by a central office (art. 2,33 of the royal decree dated 9 June 1999)

 

If the non-European worker is an executive employed by a central office (see article1,14 of the royal decree dated 9 June 1999), the necessity to obtain an authorisation depends on the duration of the work in Belgium.

The executive / director works in Belgium for more than 90 days. Their remuneration exceeds 69,637 euros for an application sent in 2019 and 71,521 euros for an application sent in 2020

Apply for a single permit "in the frame of an exemption"

The executive / director works in Belgium for maximum 90 days. Their remuneration exceeds 69,637 euros and 71,521 euros for an application sent in 2020

You do not need to ask Brussels Economy and Employment for employment authorisation in order to work in Belgium. (automatic exemption by virtue of article 2, 33° of the royal decree dated 9 June 1999)
